Todays Shoot With Black Magic 4K

Image
Today we shot some 4K video, here are a few frame grabs. They are NOT color corrected, but if you look closely you can see that the spray job on the foam core foreground matched the asphalt in the background. Next week, on Tuesday October 6th, please meet me at the 79 New Montgomery Issue Room. It is located across from the 79 New Montgomery Theater. We will meet at our usual class-time, Noon. We will leave from there for a demo. Have a great weekend!  `

Over the next few weeks we will go over the proper use of lighting and grip gear and the basics of how to light a subject to achieve the lighting effects to match a background plate shot. Here on this blog I will add some short videos and photographs to further demonstrate concepts that we cover in class every week. I would like you get a good pair of gloves and a flashlight for tools. Here is a great example of a mix of VFX, Helicopter, Crane and a moving camera car with 8 cameras shooting a scene that blends seamlessly into a one-take long dramatic shot from the film War of the Worlds. I would like to invite you to my Grad Lighting class to get an idea of how a crew works to...
