ANM Lighting for VFX
Welcome! Today we covered the basics of how to light a green-screen for compositing. It takes a little bit of time and effort to assure the green doesn't bleed onto the subject! Over the next few weeks we will go over the proper use of lighting and grip gear and the basics of how to light a subject to achieve the lighting effects to match a background plate shot. Here on this blog I will add some short videos and photographs to further demonstrate concepts that we cover in class every week. I would like you get a good pair of gloves and a flashlight for tools. Here is a great example of a mix of VFX, Helicopter, Crane and a moving camera car with 8 cameras shooting a scene that blends seamlessly into a one-take long dramatic shot from the film War of the Worlds. Ill add some scenes that I would like you to look at that may be a bit more our speed that we can shoot in class.
